Book Week Scotland
Riddle Writer

We are looking for a Riddle Writer!

As part of Book Week Scotland 2023, Crowvus are running a car treasure hunt around West Caithness. Using the generous funding from the Scottish Book Trust, we're delighted to be able to offer one writer a £200 commission to create our clues.

This commission will require you to create 30 riddles in what we are calling whimsical poetry. We will send out pictures of the points of interest so that the successful writer can get a feel for the area as well as the object. This will be a family event, so use of language and references should reflect that.

The closing date for submissions is 1st October 2023. We'll be in touch with the successful writer no later than 6th October 2023. The writer will then have one month to compile the 30 riddles. These must be received by 6th November 2023.

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please email the_team@crowvus.com
